Victoria Bergsman's Taken By Trees project is readying its third LP, Other Worlds (out October 2 via Secretly Canadian), and "Large" is the latest single from the release. A bewitching piece of tropical pop, the song's sun-drenched production, courtesy of The Tough Alliance's Henning F?rst, adds a buoyant riddim to a soundtrack meant for endless days spent lounging on forgotten beaches.
As Bergsman sings longingly about second chances, the sounds of actual birds can be heard in the background. That may sound like a luxuriant fantasy, but it's one that feels nearly attainable in Bergsman's soft hands. ?Are you with me or not?? she asks. Of course we are. Listen to the premiere below:
