Self esteem improvement in any organization is a solid low cost investment in any business. The self esteem of your work force can be increased if you follow these three proven and effective strategies.

To help build healthy self esteem and an employees sense of worth and value, you need to understand the importance of recognition. Receiving individual recognition on a personal level has a positive impact on people. The personal approach as well as organization-wide recognition are two highly effective methods to help increase self esteem and a sense of value among people.

The perception others have of us and how they accept us or not, directly impact our self esteem. To be rejected by someone is a feeling that everyone has felt at some point in their life. Accepting others unconditionally is vital for you as the head of your business. We all know that there are some faults that will need to not be accepted. However, you can demonstrate a positive impression by showing that you understand people have faults, including you, yet it?s ok and it is something that can be worked with.

To make an impact on people in a positive way you will need to improve your listening skills and learn to be an active listener. When you show another person that you are really listening to what they have to say, then that tells the person that you care about what they have to say. Taylor Kitsch Snuffs 'Catching Fire' Finnick Rumors

Actor was rumored to be in the running for 'Hunger Games' sequel, along with Garrett Hedlund and Armie Hammer.

And then there were two? The list of three very eligible male actors — Taylor Kitsch, Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund — recently speculated to be the top choices to play fan-favorite character Finnick O'Dair in the "Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire" has apparently been trimmed to two.

Kitsch said the speculation about his possible involvement in the second film in the blockbuster franchise is just that.

"Not going to happen," the "Battleship" and "John Carter" actor wrote in an email to the Los Angeles Times this week.

There has been no word from either Hammer's or Hedlund's camps regarding the validity of the report, but when MTV News reached out to Lionsgate for confirmation, we received this statement: "Like the first film, Lionsgate won't be commenting on any of the rumors until we officially announce."

Finnick appears in both "Catching Fire" and the last book in the franchise, "Mockingjay," and is memorable for his extreme attractiveness, along with the fact that 10 years before he entered the arena in "Catching Fire," he had won the Hunger Games at age 14 using a Trident.

Another actor rumored to be in the running is Robert Pattinson, who quickly put those rumors to bed. "I was kind of curious for a second," Pattinson told USA Today about the reports. "So I called my agent. My agent was like, 'No ... no one's going to offer you that part.' I was like, 'Thanks for the reassurance.' "

This hasn't stopped us from doing our own speculation and fan casting of the role, which provides for a fun distraction until Lionsgate makes the official announcement.

There's still time to cast your vote for "The Hunger Games" to win big at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, airing at 9 p.m. ET. The film is nominated for a slew of Golden Popcorn trophies in the categories of Best Cast, Movie of the Year, Best Hero, Best Fight, Best Kiss and more.

Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET.

Robert Cray?s summer tour hits Mt. Laurel Pocono Mountains Performing Arts Center

American blues guitarist and five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Cray will be releasing his 21st record later on this year, but you don?t have to wait long to get your dose of the ?Strong Persuader?s? live show. Cray and his band will be performing with special guest Little Feat June 9, at 7 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel Pocono Mountains Performing Arts Center in Tamiment.
We recently spoke with Cray about his new record, accomplishments and life on the road.

Talk about recording the new album.
We recorded back in April and it is scheduled for release the first week of September. We recorded in southern California with producer Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Joe Bonamassa, Black Crowes, Rush). It?s all new material with the exception of one cover we did by Bobby Parker called ?Blues Get Off My Shoulder.? There are a lot of timely songs on the record meaning about the political situation going on, people?s lives via the housing market, things like that.

What was your introduction to blues and rock music?
Through my parents record collection. My parents had a really good collection of blues, jazz, R&B, and gospel. (When I started playing guitar), it was through the excitement of The Beatles.

What do think about satellite and internet radio?
It?s huge! Back when I was growing up, everything was on and a lot of things got played on any one station. Now you have all these different stations to pick and choose and everything is broken down into sub-categories. It kind of becomes a bit much. If I turn on a blues station, it becomes too bluesy for me! I need a mix! I think it?s healthy to hear a lot of different styles of music.

What accomplishments stand out to you in your career so far?
Having the opportunity to have met and to stand on stage with certain people like John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters or the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. When you?re younger and you?ve listened to that music and then all of a sudden an opportunity comes up and you get to be on stage with them, that is better than anything.

How do you physically and mentally prepare for this run of shows you are about to begin?
You prepare by not looking how daunting it is and do one day at a time. I actually enjoy being out on the road. That chance to have that kind of camaraderie, where every day you have to come out and give it the best that you can do. We just get out there and have fun on a daily basis.

Chinese activist: My nephew likely being tortured

Mario Tama/Getty Images

Chinese activist Chen Guancheng, center, arrives with his wife Yuan Weijing, second left, before speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations on Thursday in New York City. This was Chen's first major public engagement since he escaped confinement and left China nearly two weeks ago.

By Catherine Chomiak, NBC News State Department Producer

Now safely in the U.S., Chinese lawyer and dissident Chen Guangcheng says he is still concerned about the family he left behind in China and suggested Thursday that his nephew is being tortured.?

Chen told an audience during a question-and-answer session at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York that since he left his village, local authorities have been retaliating against his family in a "frenzied way."?

Chen, who is blind, said that after he snuck away from de facto house arrest and fled to Beijing that about 30 hired ?thugs? broke into his brother's house in the middle of the night and severely beat him and his son. His claimed his nephew is now isolated in a detention center for injuring the "thugs," who he said "had no choice but to take a kitchen knife and fight back.?

"His lawyer cannot meet with him and has no information,? Chen said through a translator. ?I understand that keeping him isolated from his lawyer probably suggests he may be tortured and they're just trying to hide that fact by not letting him meet anyone."

?

Chen said that while in Beijing he raised concerns about his family repeatedly through various channels and with different representatives of the Chinese government and was told that the treatment that his family experienced at the hands of the local authorities in his home province would be investigated. He is still waiting for his government to keep their promise to him, he said in New York, where he arrived on May 19.

Unanswered questions
During the course of the Q&A, which was monitored over the phone by this reporter in Washington, D.C., Chen responded to some of the other unanswered questions about his daring escape.

One topic was whether or not he was aware that both U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner were coming to Beijing when he was planning his escape from house arrest. No, Chen said. "I didn't know there was a strategic dialogue going to happen because I had been cut off from communications with everyone. I was just isolated from the rest of the world. So, that was a total coincidence."?

Asked whether he knew the U.S. Embassy would provide him refuge, Chen said: ?The U.S. holds itself up as embodying democracy and human rights values. What would it mean if they refused to take me in? I think you all can imagine that. I think on the surface it seems to be a diplomatic question, but the question is: ?Do you try to save someone who is in danger of his life."

He said that being in the U.S. is an opportunity to give his body and mental health a much needed rest and that he is particularly interested in studying laws that protect the disabled. He is working on his English as well. "Everything I want to do takes time, but I want to work hard," he told the audience.

Despite his ordeal, he expressed optimism about the prospect of democracy in China, saying that "his lifetime" is perhaps too big of a time frame ? suggesting change in China could come sooner.

But, he said, it is unlikely to be immediate. ?Many people want to move the mountain in one week,? he said. ?That?s not realistic. We have to move it bit by bit. You can?t expect it to happen overnight.?

Chen ended the program with an inspirational thought. "As I see it in this world, there is nothing that is impossible. If you want to do it, think of a way to do it. There's no such thing as a difficulty that cannot be overcome.??
